Google updated Maps for Android yesterday, adding a new design and a couple of new features to the app. Yesterdays update came without a crucial part of the app, a dedicated offline mapping support. Google later announced that they will be adding a button to make select maps areas available offline. The update will roll out globally later today, including navigation support for an additional 19 countries. The new version of Maps comes with a cleaner interface, enhanced navigation with live traffic updates, traffic rerouting and incident reports. The explore feature now offers new ways to browse and discover popular local points of interests. Check the source link below for more information.
