The streaming media stick market is already populated with big names like Google and Amazon, so I don’t blame Walmart for quietly launching its low-cost streaming video stick. Walmart’s Vudu Spark dongle out-prices Google Chromecast, Roku Streaming Stick, and Amazon Fire TV Stick at $24.95 and it comes with a dedicated remote control. We first saw the device from the FCC leak back in November. As reported by Gigaom the Vudu Spark dongle is currently up for grabs at 2,400 stores Walmart stores with more stores to come. Before you jump in on the offer, it’s worth knowing that the Vudu Spark only works with Vudu (the Walmart-owned site that rents TV shows and movies) purchases and rentals I guess that’s why it comes at that price.
