HUAWEI MateBook X Pro Now Available in the U.S, Starting At $1,200

The powerful configuration will set you back $1,199.99

Huawei fans in America have been watching from the sidelines as the company launches new products like the MateBook X Pro, P20 Pro and P20 around the world with little to no plans to make them available stateside yet. One of the company’s latest product that caught our attention is the Huawei Matebook Pro X. The company just announced in a recent press release that the Matebook Pro X will be available in the US starting today for either $1,199.99 for the base model or $1,499.99 for the more powerful configuration.

The pop-up camera that can be mistaken for a button in the keyboard’s function row isn’t the only interesting feature about this laptop. The device comes with a 13.9-inch, 3000 x 2000 touchscreen display that offers a 91 percent screen-to-body ratio. As for ports, you’ll get a Thunderbolt 3 port, USB-C port, and a USB-A port, and a headphone jack.

If you decide to go for the lower-spec model, which comes with the Core i5 processor, 8GB RAM, and a 256GB SSD, it will set you back $1,199.99. The more powerful configuration is priced at $1,499.99, for this price, you’ll be getting an ultraportable laptop with a Core i7 processor, 16GB RAM, and a 512GB SSD. For good measures, both versions come with a year of Microsoft Office 365 Personal and the MateDock 2 USB-C adapter.

The Matebook X Pro is available today from Amazon, Newegg, and Microsoft’s website, as well as in Microsoft Stores starting May 23rd. When you think a year Office 365 subscription and a MateDock 2 USB-C adapter is all you get for buying the Matebook Pro X, the company throws in more incentives. Consumers who purchase the HUAWEI MateBook X Pro from Amazon or Newegg — or in a physical Microsoft Store between May 21 and June 10 will receive a $300 gift card from that retailer for a future purchase.
