Fujifilm just released new software that lets you use a number of their X-series and GFX-series mirrorless cameras as ultra-high-quality webcams. The app is called Fujifilm X Webcam and it works over USB. Users will be able to install the software on any PC and using a USB cable, connect a supported camera, to create a web-conferencing environment with much higher image quality, and also use Fujifilm’s film simulation modes.

With the demand for high-quality performing cameras on the rise due to remote work, we’ve seen companies like Canon release similar webcam utility software for its digital cameras. Fujifilm X Webcam works with the X-H1, X-Pro2, X-Pro3, X-T2, X-T3, X-T4, and all GFX cameras. The app is free, and right now it’s only available for Windows computers.
